Taos first responders help lift a one and a half ton car off a man. According to The Taos News who also obtained video of the rescue, 21-year old Brian Brown had been working underneath a car when the jack collapsed, trapping him. Brown was able to reach his cell phone and dialed 911. Some of the blocks that Brown put down were still in place, keeping it above him enough to lift the car and pull the man to safety. Two officers, two off-duty firemen and a citizen all responded to the rescue. Except for bruising to the chest, Brown is reported being in good condition. The Taos Police Department plans to honor those in the rescue.
